A beautiful beast, for sure, but still a beast. It was OK, I didn’t feel a connection to the characters like I was hoping to. Gets the heart racing at certain points, and you really feel for the characters. The story was good, not that exciting except for the end with the counter story but still made me smile reading it and hot sex scenes too: There are two supporting characters in this book that make into the next book titled FASTBALL that I actually want to read next because these characters captured my attention in this book.
One part really jarred me out of the story, though. This may be a typical romance novel but the story is well written and had me rooting for the hero and heroine as they loved, fought and loved again.

Hardbll is a pleasant contemproary romance with a lot of heat! It’s worth a read. And what was with her going on and on about “feeling safe” with Nate? Sykrs book is definitively not for me. In my opinion when you are with someone you renounce to all the others. A doctor should know that. Suddenly I find myself cheering for another team besides the Yankees. I’m not inclined to try another of their novels. Due to circumstances Nate harxball forced to realize just how much Holly means to him, and how much he CAN’T afford to lose her. I really liked this book. I get her; it just sgkes make for great reading. First, The Good – I enjoyed the characters and seeing their relationship develop. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Holly and Nate unfold.
So when she meets Nate Carter, yummy, georgeous, masculine, star picture of the Philadephia Patriots, she is thrown for a loop.

Nate is totally up for a hot, no-strings affair, and Holly turns out to be the hottest. Why wouldn’t he just say it??!!
Nate is great through supporting her through the fiasco with the father.
